Bear Lake

My sister Kristalyn and I took our little munchkins to see Bear Lake for the first time! We had lots of fun and a very full car with all 3 carseats in the back seat of my car. We stopped at the scenic overlook so the boys could stretch their legs and see the whole lake... Wes keps saying "It's SOO big!" This is a picture of Krista and her two boys Wesley, 3 and Cooper, 1

There were two huge fires on the other side of the mountains accross the lake.. It was cool to watch how the smoke would change throughout the day. Can I just tell you how badly I wanted to see the actual fires?

When we finally got to the city, we stopped at a park and ate our lunches and then headed to the beach! We had to walk quite a ways down this wooden boardwalk. We were surrounded by reeds and grasses and such and these fun berries at the beginning. They were so bright and fresh I just loved them!

After the boardwalk we came out to the old water line and had to walk yet again quite a distance to actually hit the water. I couldnt believe how low the water level was! One good thing though, we had a lot of beach!!

The boys had so much fun once we hit the water! As always, Bear Lake water was cold but not so much so to deter the boys from enjoying their day. We played with seagulls, seashells and sand! Cooper liked the sand so much he kept dumping it on his head! Man was there sand everywhere you could imagine!!

Wes sure enjoyed chasing the seagulls even though he never caught one..

They were not afraid of us one bit! Some even got as close as a few feet.. I thought they were going to come steal our crackers while i was sitting next to them!

Even Parley got in the water! She is such a water bug already and she loved it! I was expecting her to get upset that it wasnt warm like bath-time but she just kicked her feet around! We had so much fun!

my growing baby

I just found this picture of Parley in the hospital. I cannot believe that she has grown so much! She looks so swollen and tiny... I can't imagine what she is going to look like at Christmas!

Just thought I'd share the fun pic for now! There is more to come!

blog envy

I just realized something! I have blog envy! I think that the reason I havent been very good at blogging is because I feel like I'm not doing a good enough job... so I am going to ignore those thoughts and blog away!

This means that everyone will just have to ignore the fact that our blog isnt going to be cutsie.. I will try though and I will try to get pictures up as well!

What did I get done today??

Ugh! Does anyone else have those days where it seems like you are busy all day but at the end of the day, you look back and feel like nothing got accomplished?

Today was one of those days for me!

Last night was the first night in a long time that we didnt have to set an alarm to wake up! I was so happy that we would be able to catch up on some much needed R&R but that didnt happen!! On Tylers side of the bed, his phone kept ringing all morning (his work calling) and the fire pager was going off! On my side of the bed, Parley was continuously making noise! She was either fussing or yelling at her pacifier with this cute, but not so quiet grunting all morning. Id get out of bed and as soon as I was standing over she'd break out in smile!! So adorable but, needless to say, neither of us really slept to our full potential!

We invited Crystal over for a breakfast of pancakes -with delicious Lemon-Peaches- and visited with her until about 3!! Tyler and I then went over to his parents house to mow their lawn before they came back from Sandy. While we were there Tyler discovered KITTENS that no-one knew about!! Talk about crazy! They are so adorable so of course we were there much longer than expected! We drove home, made dinner, and Lo-and-Behold.. ITS BEDTIME!!! Where did my day go? There were so many things that I had planned on crossing off of my endless
to-Do list and I wasnt able to cross anything off!!

I am crossing my fingers that tomorrow is more productive!
I'm back!!

I know that I have said it before, BUT.... I really am going to blog now!
So many things are happening in our lives right now that the chaos is the new normal... 'Nothing new' to me, means 'Things are crazy and chaotic' go figure ha ha.

I will give a quick update on life right now and fill in the blanks as I go... If I try to catch up now, you'll never get current information!

As many of you know, we officially started a family of our own on July 27, 2010 when Parley Opal joined our family. She is such an angel and I feel so honored to be a mother -even when it is only 2AM and I've already been up to feed her so many times that i've probably only slept just over an hour-
Parley is beautiful and healthy and such a blessing in our lives. Tyler is still working at the plasma center as the Operations Supervisor, and volunteering at the fire station where he is the EMS Coordinator. I am now a stay at home mom and I am now a Mary Kay consultant. I love both things, but I love that being a mother comes first- always!! (I need to say thank-you to those of you who have helped me so much in being able to stay home with my sweet baby girl! I love you so very much- more than I can put into words!!)
We are now home owners as well! Sing Praises!! I am so glad that we are no longer renting! It is more stress, and reality can be hard at times, but it is worth it! Our family now consists of Tyler and I, Parley, IceCream'n'Cake (cat), and Pukah (dog).
-let me say that Tyler named the cat by the way-

My time-out!!

Alright.... I knew at the very beginning of my adventure with blogspot that I would not be very good at updating. Lo and behold... I failed- HORRIBLY!! If you ask Tyler, I am in a LOT of trouble with a LOT of people for my lack of blogging. I am sorry to all of you who have been checking up on us merely to be disappointed with my blog neglect. He he he.. who would have known lol. I am sure that the next few posts will be rather random in lieu of the fact that I have a lot to catch up on and my brain doesnt always work as an organized system.. wish me luck and I hope to hear from all of you!!

Tyler had been trying to get me to go to the haunted corn maze for weeks now so I finally agreed to go last night.. before I continue though- let me take you on a detour. I may have a slight or should i say a rather large fear of the dark.. and dear 'ol Tyler thinks it is the funniest thing ever!! He'll tell me about the rather weird people that he sees outside and about our psycho neighbors and then make me take the dog out at night and such.. So anyway.. Tyler got this brilliant idea that we should go to the corn maze because he knew very well that i'd be completely freaked out! Now if any of you know Tyler you know that once he gets and idea in his head he doesnt give up until he gets what he wants... and trust me he isnt above guilting you into either!! I agreed to go to the corn maze with him under certain conditions but in the end it didnt really matter anyway (back to that whole guilt thing but we wont go there)...
I did come up with a brilliant plan as we were driving though that I was going to take pictures so that I would actually want to see these "creatures"... and it worked!! Sort of- I still got spooked but I think I played it off rather well. The only person I didnt fool was Tyler because his poor hand was just about feeling-free by the time we were done. About half way through the maze I had to pee!! Perfect timing... lost in a corn maze at night with things jumping out at you! I started asking for directions on how to get out which didnt exactly make Tyler happy but I was to the point where I was heavily weighing the chances of getting caught if I dropped my drawers in the corn!!! No worries though.. we did make it out in time but word to the wise: Pee before you go somewhere scary!!

About Me

My photo
In July I am going to become a MOM! I need to find a way to work from home so that I can stay home with our beautiful new baby when she comes. I have started this business and I am hoping that I can do well enough not to have to go back to work. I thank all of you who are supporting me in this and hope that this works out!
